Who We Are

1.  Please give a description of your company and the products/services you offer.

I am a small business owner of a company called Clayton's Home Services that offers a range of home services for staging, decorating and organizing for keeping the flow of the home moving forward.  I work small and large scale jobs, ranging from single rooms to whole homes. I specialize in ADHD and chronic disorganization projects. I like to talk to my clients and get an idea of where they struggle to keep up with their home and what we can do to create a system that they can stay accountable to. Creating visuals to keep up on track - calendars create habits and daily maintenance in your home will help you keep up with the cleaning/organizing is much easier when done more often in little doses.

2.  How long have you been in business?

I am coming up on two years in being in business. I wish I would have started earlier after finding out how much passion I have for creating and reworking space. But I'm grateful for each day I've been at it and hope to build a long career out of it. I have found it so fulfilling to be able to work with my clients one on one to rework their environment.

3.  Tell us about your business.

I currently have several rotating clients that I see each week with whom I either go through and organize and pare down for them or I work with them to do the same. I like to spend some time with my clients talking to them and finding out what they need most to stay organized. I know some people are opposed to containers and to an extent that can be the truth however I believe that you have to create structure where there is large space and work diligently to keep up with the system. Take time to assess when using, is this helping or am I creating something I will not keep up with. Sometimes the idea you have about organizing a space will change, and that's okay. Let it be a catalyst for discovery of a better system. There's always going to be an ebb and flow to how organized you are. I highly encourage people to pare down what they have and keep it as basic as possible. We have to keep reworking until you're happy and we've created a long term strategy to keep you organized. I always encourage people to donate or find new homes for their items. If the item is in good working order we can make sure it gets used by taking it to the right donation center or shelter. You will feel so much more comfortable and relaxed knowing that you took a little time each day to keep up with organizing. The more you attend to your environment the more you will be interested in keeping up with it. The small amount each day makes the over project completion less daunting. Be proud of every attempt and step you take to change because it will make the next time easier!  Self accountability is self love.

4.  What inspired you to pursue your profession?

I am ADD/ADHD/Anxious and I need my home and work space organized to keep a complete picture of where I am on a project and where I need to be. In my  previous professional career, I was a Cannabis compliance specialist and managed cannabis labs and grows and I have always been in charge of a lot of moving parts, transitioning inventory and the flow of products from one place to another. I always found myself  creating or reworking tracking systems  and reorganizing the inventory storage areas and found that there was much more room available and that our audits would become more accurate and easier to complete.  I worked hard to compliantly maintain multiple locations worth of rolling inventory and created efficiencies to ramp up production through organization and tracking systems. And I found through doing this that there were similar characteristics between this and maintaining a home. I love creating custom options for each client.

5.  What would you like the listeners to know about you?

I would love for people to know that I am super open to helping out with any type of situation you have found yourself in and need some guidance and help getting out of.  I know what it's like to be low and need someone there to help you through with kindness and empathy.

My

Comfort

Zone

My favorite feeling is when someone walks into my home and has an immediate sense of comfort. It’s easy to get lost in my home talking about all the treasures I have around my home. I strive to bring as much color into the world as possible. I believe in finding, restoring, repurposing and adopting as many things as possible to keep home worthy items in circulation! I spend a good amount of time looking through market places and physical stores to find the best pieces for my home.

I love minimalism, but gravitate towards maximalism in my own space. My current design inspirations come from Vernor Panton, Noz Nozawa, Darren Jett, Misha Kahn, Salvador Dahli. I love anything from the Art Deco Era, Retro and Mid Mod and everything else all the way up to the present! My design fits I lean towards color, patterns, natural elements and bringing vintage and modern items cohesively together. I always focus on color palettes first and believe that the shapes and textures desired will always find their way.

I’ve spent the last few years helping stage homes and offices for daily use and sales. I would love to help you create the exact feeling you are hoping to bring into your home space. My heart lies in creating a peaceful retreat like atmosphere in your space so you can have respite from the outer world. Homes and offices alike should provide relaxing, engaging and support creativity.

If anything I have said has resonated with you, please give me a call and I would love to set up time to talk about what your in home or office needs are!
